Welcome to the Department of Medicine, the largest department at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. The mission of Johns Hopkins is research, teaching and patient care. Our record speaks for itself. Johns Hopkins is rated the best of the best by U.S. News & World Report in patient care. The School of Medicine receives more National Institutes of Health funding than any other school. The department conducts research on a broad range of problems related to human disease.
