  • Weekends that occur during a clerkship may be scheduled by the department.
  • Some clerkships have overnight call.
  • Scheduled vacations begin with the end of responsibilities on Sunday, and end with the beginning of responsibilities on Monday morning.
  • Official holidays for medical students are Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend (Thursday through Sunday), Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. Because of the level of increased patient care responsibilities on subinternship experiences, the student's responsibilities may take precedence over holiday time. Students on subinternships must discuss any time off with the attending staff.
  • Senior Year ends Period 11, June 3, 2001.
  • Graduation will be on Friday, June 8, 2001.
