![]() The Science of Caring For more than 90 years, UCSF School of Nursing has prepared nursing leaders to meet health care needs in the areas of nursing education, administration, advanced clinical practice, and research. Our success in educating these leaders is best demonstrated by the achievements of our graduates who serve in diverse capacities all over the world. Some are deans of major schools of nursing or executive officers of large health facilities. Still others work as clinical specialists and consultants in settings ranging from rural clinics to government agencies to urban medical centers. Our graduate-level (M.S./Ph.D.) programs are designed to provide opportunities in a changing health care environment in such areas as advanced practice nursing and primary care. Our school's reputation is enhanced by the research of our faculty and graduates, ranging from highly technical advances in critical care nursing to transcultural health practices. |
