The School of Public Health offers students a broad interdisciplinary
approach to public health research and practice. Our highly productive
faculty are well-known nationally and internationally and our alumni now
work to improve the health of the people in more than 70 countries around
the world. Home to an innovative Department of Health, and a leader in
progressive healthcare and managed care, the state of Minnesota is an
ideal place to gain exposure to the full array of the most current
population health research and practice. The Academic Health Center, of
which the School of Public Health is a part, is one of the most complete
Health Centers in the nation, enriching its students intellectually and
professionally through contact with the widest spectrum of health and
health policy experts and community practitioners.
