The University of Texas School of Public Health pursues its teaching, research, and service missions in the ideal setting of the worldlargest medical center. This location provides abundant research and employment opportunities for students enrolled at the main Houston campus. Cooperative agreements with the five other UT components, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas WomanUniversity, University of Houston, and Rice University allow students to take courses for degree credit and to earn concurrent degrees in a number of speciality areas. The School of Public Health, which celebrated its 30 year anniversary in the year 2000, serves other regions of the state through its system of satellite MPH programs in San Antonio, El Paso, Dallas, and Brownsville. More than 900 students are currently enrolled.
