From its beginnings in 1967, the School of Public Health has endeavored to
help society prevent illness and improve life. Professional excellence and a
strong sense of mission permeate each area of specialization, including
biostatistics, environmental and occupational health, epidemiology, health
administration, health education, health promotion, international health, and
public health nutrition. Individuals who are unable to leave their current
employment to come to Loma Linda may study in extended campus programs which are
offered in several locations throughout the United States. Students in these
programs are active in various professions: nursing, medicine, hospital
administration, dentistry, education, and theology. The MPH degree obtained
through the extended campus programs enhances their ability to serve.
