Paradigm Wins $24M from US Government to Study Toxicogenomics
By a GenomeWeb staff reporter

NEW YORK, Oct. 1 - Paradigm Genetics yesterday said it has been awarded $23.8 million from the National Institute of Environmental Health to perform gene-expression studies related to toxicology.

For the next five years, Paradigm researchers will use a gene-expression platform based on technology developed at Agilent Technologies to discern what happens to an organism when an undisclosed variety of toxicants, drugs, and pesticides have been introduced.

Paradigm added that this research will serve as a link between the company's ag-biotech and human-health research.
